Rosa Parks

On this day in 1913, Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was born. Rosa was an activist and a trailblazer for the black community. Her most notable accomplishments was her role in initiating the Civil Rights Movement, by refusing to give up her seat. Ms. Parks was not a woman to be messed with. Her strength and dignity helped fight the battles against racial segregation and gave Blacks a voice.
