ABOUT US

Welcome to the King George Branch of the NAACP

Local communities establish local NAACP organizations to ensure that each community accomplishes and sustains the mission of this greater than 100 year old organization to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion.

The Local Branch #7080 of the King George NAACP was formed May 25, 1941.

Some people may wonder why such an organization is still necessary.  Though there has been much progress throughout the decades; there is still much work to be done.  We work to disrupt inequality, dismantle racism, and accelerate change in key areas including criminal justice, health care, education, climate, and the economy.  The King George Branch of the NAACP, with local community membership, is critical to ensure we are on the cutting edge of integrating and sustaining these changes in our rural community.

We are a vibrant community that seeks to foster ongoing necessary change and progress to enrich the lives of all those in the King George Community and beyond.

As president of the King George Branch #7080 of the NAACP, I look forward to your membership and working together toward the greater good.
